TEC 40 --- this course introduces the diver to technical gear configuration, dive planning, advanced gas planning, cylinder labeling, max depth of (40)msw / (130)fsw, with up to a maximum of 10 minutes of decompression. A maximum deco mix of a 50% is utilized for this training.
Prerequisites --- student divers must meet the following prerequisites before starting the Tec 40 course:
certified as a PADI Advanced Openwater Diver or a qualifying certification from another organization or proof of training beyond entry level with experience in deep diving and underwater navigation.
certified as a PADI Enriched Air Diver or qualifying certification from another organiztion.
certified as a PADI Deep Diver or show proof of at least 10 dives to 100ft.
minimum age 18
minimum of 30 logged dives, of which 10 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 60 ft.
Must have current physical signed by a physician within the last year.
Must have DAN dive deco insurance -- master or prefered
must be proficient in bouyancy control and be very comfortable in the water.
Equipment requirements

Cylinders --- Anyone of the following appropriately labeled cylinders can be used in the tec 40 course
single cylinder with a dual outlet valve (H or Y valve)example -- (steel 95/ 104/ 108/ 120)
single cylinder with single outlet valve and a pony bottle(minimum size 30cf)
back mounted doubles with dual isolator manifold
double cylinders in a sidemount configuration
two complete regulators -- one must have a 7 ft. hose, if using a pony bottle it must have a spg and 7ft. hose.
tec diving harness -- back plate or soft pack harness -- example -- dive rite, hollis, halcyon, oms
Buoyancy control --- wing dual bladder, if diving with a wet suit --- single bladder if diving dry.
deco cylinders --- you will need 1 --- 40 or 80cf cylinder properly labeled
dive computer and back up timer or 2nd dive computer
